Invited by CLEO, Prof. Xianyu had participated the 8th Pacific Rim Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics (CLEO®/Pacific Rim 2009) which had be held from August 30th to September 3rd, 2009 at Shanghai International Convention Center in Shanghai, China. It was organized by Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Shanghai Jiaotong University.
The Pacific Rim Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics (CLEO/PR) is one of the largest, most comprehensive and prestigious gathering of optics and photonics researchers and engineers. The 1st CLEO®/PR(1995), the 2nd CLEO®/PR(1997), the 4th CLEO®/PR(2001), the 6th CLEO®/PR(2005) were held in Japan, the 3rd CLEO®/PR(1999)and the 7th CLEO®/PR(2007) was held in Korea, and the 5th CLEO®/PR(2003) was held in Taiwan, China, all with great success.
The purpose of CLEO®/Pacific Rim 2009 is to provide a forum to review the most important and latest developments of lasers and electro-optics, to exchange the update research achievements and future trends in laser and electro-optics, to promote laser and electro-optics applications and to provide the potential collaboration opportunities all regions of the world.
